The Agence des Aires Marines Protégées stimulates the dynamics of technical exchanges and shared experiences between MPA managers and more widely between organisations involved in the marine environment. In this area, its purpose is to create links and share information on marine environment protection and Marine Protected Area issues and objectives. On a national level, it manages the Marine Protected Area Managers’ Forum which brings together the 80 members representing French Marine Protected Areas. The agency is also responsible for the development of regional networks such as Maïa in the Atlantic arc, and supports Medpan, the network of MPA managers in the Mediterranean. It is also involved in international networks dedicated to the protection of the Marine environment. It is, for example, a member of the World Union for Nature and the Global Oceans Forum.
